Sealed With –

Ok, not a kiss.  With Deck-o-Seal.  The pesky little gap between the patio and the wall needs to be sealed with something with some elasticity.  The rubbery substance we pulled out was unfamiliar to us. Some research brought us to Deck-o-seal.  An elastic polymer that works like an epoxy and flows to fill irregular cracks and provide an expansion joint. Like an epoxy, it came in a two part package that you mixed up and then squeezed into the crack.  It worked great and I’m going to use it to replace the mastic around the pool as well.

We are Amy & Shawn and this is the home renovation story of the flood house we bought in Houston, TX. After binging on too many episodes of Fixer-Upper and since we weren't finding any already remodeled houses we liked, we took on the ambitious project of renovating a house flooded during Hurricane Harvey. This blog will chronicle the whole process and the projects we undertake - and probably some funny stories along the way.
