Floor Finishing

After the nosing was installed and the bedroom door was installed, we were able to finish up all the last floor pieces around the edges and into the closets. Since I was (as usual) very efficient with the floor boards there was some leftover, unfortunately, only enough to do half of one of the walk in closets so we decided against that and we’ll just replace the carpeting in there as originally planned.  But I’m happy to have the bedroom floor totally done. There is one tile left in the bathroom where it meets the wood floor.  We were waiting to get the floor in to set that piece so we’ll take care of that one whenever we have some thinset mixed up.

We are Amy & Shawn and this is the home renovation story of the flood house we bought in Houston, TX. After binging on too many episodes of Fixer-Upper and since we weren't finding any already remodeled houses we liked, we took on the ambitious project of renovating a house flooded during Hurricane Harvey. This blog will chronicle the whole process and the projects we undertake - and probably some funny stories along the way.
